Alonso de Humanes, The Palo cathedral has been rebuilt twice - in years prior to 1897 after damage by fire and tropical storm, and later in 1897 when a big tropical storm unroofed the church, damaged the convent and other houses in the townThe Palo Church was created a cathedral on March 27,1938 when Msgr. Guglielmo Piani, apostolic delegate, carried the papal bull from Rome, proclaimed it and erected the diocese of Leyte, designating Palo as its seat and Msgr. Manuel Mascarinas of Bohol its first bishopInside the patio of this church, enclosed by walls of Spanish stone and adobe, is an open esplanade where formerly Fr. De la Fuente kept his stall of fast native ponies, a zoological compilation of rabbits, turkeys, guinea pigs, a huge python fed with live pullets and a dovecote swarming with white pigeons. This esplanade used to be the people’s rendezvous when escaping from marauding moros in the days of the moro piracy centuries ago. It had also a huge well which provided water for drinking during the long months of dry spells. On the aperture on the Spanish walls is an insignia of the Jesuit order, center of attraction of visiting Jesuits when they come to Palo, indicating that the cathedral and the walls therein were originally Jesuit.

Mithi (Wish) madami ako nun...sa materyal na bagay, sony vaio yung pink ha hehe pa-girl eh, psp para sa pamangkin kong si Jhoanna, Nintendo DS para kay KC, minimithi ko ring puntahan ang Venice sa Italy at sumakay sa Gondola kasama ang boypren habang inaawitan nung mamang bangkero awwwwww sweet kaya nun! pagkatapos lilipad papuntang U.K. para makita ang mga naggagandahang struktura o sa Paris at magpa piktyur tapos background ang Eiffel Tower syempre kasama ko pa rin ang boypren hehe! Libre lang mangarap kaya sinasagad ko na hehehe!! pero sa ngayon simple lang ang gusto ko... yung ganito...

kasama ang boypren habang naglalambingan sa lilim ng puno. Nung makita ko yan, nainggit ako sa totoo lang, kasi hindi ko pa yan nagawa simula nung magkaboypren ako. Simple lang kung iisipin pero puno naman ng pagmamahal diba?! hehehe!! Maligayang Huwebes!!

Larawan ng Basillica de Sto. Nino sa Cebu. Pasensya na kung medyo malabo ang litrato. Kuha ko ito noong minsang nagliwaliw kami ng kaibigan ko sa Cebu nitong nakaraang Hunyo. Perstaym ko nakita ang loob ng simbahan, noon kasing una kming nagpunta dun eh Sinulog Festival sobrang dami ng tao kaya nde na kami nakapasok. Sabi ko noon babalik ako sayang naman kung hindi ko makikita ang loob ng simbahan diba, kaya nung bumalik ako yan ang una naming pinuntahan. Ang ganda... parang gusto ko doon ako ikasal ahihihihi!

Last Saturday, my friend and I went to a local coffee shop near downtown area to have a taste of these mouthwatering goodies they have in store.

I ordered this really tasty and yummy Churros. It's crunchy on the outside but really chewy inside...

The plating was so nice I don't even wanna touch it... but who can resist the rich chocolate dip and sugar sprinkles?.... It was HEAVEN!! The dip was so yummy I almost lick the cup LOL ^_^.

and then my friend had this crepe with vanilla ice cream inside on top of rich choco syrup. It was nice too but I like the one with bananas inside hehehe!

It was a sweet weekend... and I will definitely go back to that place again. ^_^

Ang pag-aaral daw sa panahon ngayon ay isa nang prebilihiyo (privilege) para sa mga kabataan, lalo na sa pamilyang hirap sa buhay. Masakit isipin na may mga kabataang nais mag aral pero hindi man lang makatungtong sa eskwelahan dahil kailangan maghanap-buhay kahit na sa murang gulang. Nakakainis makitang ang mga magulang ang nasa bahay samantalang ang anak ang naghihirap sa pagtatrabaho para lang may maiuwing pambili ng pagkain sa araw-araw.... uyyy medyo madrama ito! Ang daming pwedeng sabihin tungkol sa temang ito pero since tamad ako hindi ko na lang pahahabain hehehe... Masasabi ko lang na maswerte ako dahil kahit medyo hirap ang buhay namin noon eh kahit papaano naitaguyod ako ng magulang ko na makatungtong hanggang kolehiyo... di ko nga lang pinursige kasi tamad ako.

Kuha to ni Kc habang abala sa pag guhit. Excited ako kasi next school year mag-aaral na sya. Kaya ngayon pa lang tinuturuan ko na sya para lumaki syang matalino gaya ko! LOLSS!!

LOL! ang sagwang pakinggan, pero!subalit!datapwat!ngunit! wala akong maisip na magandang titulo kaya hayaan nyo nalang ako sa konting kalokohang ito. Hindi ako nakasali noong nakaraang 2 linggo kasi tinamad ako...pagkatapos kong maglamyerda sa Cebu, bukod pa sa kabagalan ng takbo ng utak ko dahil hindi ako makaisip ng magandang larawan para sa pag-iisang dibdib. Wala kasi akong hilig dumalo sa mga ganyang kasalan o pag-iisang dibdib...kaya siguro hanggang ngayon wala pa rin akong kaisang dibdib haha!!! anyway, bago pa ko makalimot at magkwento ng kung ano-ano eto na pong pahabol kong larawan para sa kalayaan.

Nguit nagbalik si sya bilang leader ng mga sundalong amerikano noon 1944 upang tuparin ang kanyang pangako at pinalaya ang Pilipinas mula sa pananakop ng mga hapon.

Tubig na nagmumula sa Busay Falls na aming pinasyalan mga ilang linggo na ang nakararaan. Napakagandang pagmasdan ng malinis at malamig na tubig na ito. Nakakalungkot nga lang isipin na hindi masyadong naaalagaan at namimintina ang kalinisan ng lugar. Marahil dahil na rin sa katigasan ng ulo at kulang sa disiplina ng mga taong nagpupunta roon na walang pakundangan sa pagtatapon ng basura at pati na rin ng mga pinagkainan nila.

Itchy Worms

have you been in contact with furry, itchy, creepy worms that gives allergies?I found this crawly worm while sippin' my hot coffee in the garden couple of weeks ago in the very same flower i posted last week.

**eta** this little creature belongs to Euproctis Family, well known for their urticating hairs, they cause extreme irritation if in contact with human skin. This is what it will look like when it developed.

Weekend ridin' and snappin' with my lovely KC at the mall. Can you see the look on her face? She was so excited and eager to ride in that thing, but when she was up there, she was really scared but never cried, she's really a toughie, that's my girl ;-)

San Juanico Bridge. Stretching from Samar to Leyte crossing the San Juanico Strait, the longest bridge in the country with the length of 2.16 kms. Connecting Tacloban City on the Leyte side and Santa Rita town on the Samar side, it offers many picturesque views, especially of the San Juanico Strait with its thousand whirlpools as well as the islets of the province. It is approximately 10 minutes from downtown Tacloban City and is accessible by passenger jeepney, bus, motorcab or private vehicle.
